We love The Queens’ Club here at C & B. Protector and upholder of many similar values, the Club has successfully maintained its position as a true Mecca for tennis in the heart of London. And never more so than at the Annual tournament; the AEGON Championships.
Being involved for the first time this year as their official supplier – 100% of the wine for the various bars and buffets throughout the tournament – was therefore a very exciting opportunity. We are also sponsoring their amazing 125th Anniversary ball next month with The Lane wines.
The tournament kicked off in the rain (and, as we all know, ended in the rain) but there was some fantastic and unexpectedly surprising tennis in between. It didn’t seem right to be watching Nadal hitting balls into an increasingly inconvenient net, but it made great entertainment and was washed down with some reliably good C & B vino – the delicious Unwooded Chardonnay from The Lane was my pick of the week.
